Welcome Dr. Patrick McDonald, Newest member of the Neuroethics Core Faculty!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Patrick McDonald has joined the National Core for Neuroethics as a Core Faculty member.

Dr. McDonald, Associate Professor of Surgery at UBC and Head of the Division of Neurosurgery at BC Children’s Hospital, is a Clinical Investigator at the Child and Family Research Institute. After completing his MD and neurosurgery training at the University of Toronto (U of T), Dr. McDonald obtained a Masters degree from the Joint Centre for Bioethics at U of T. In addition to his clinical work and research in pediatric hydrocephalus and concussion, Dr. McDonald’s neuroethics research focuses on conflicts of interest in neurosurgical research, neuroethics education and ethical issues in concussion care. He is the Vice President of the Canadian Neurosurgical Society and on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bioethics Society.
