Committing Acts of Journalism: Reporting in a coercive state

In this stimulating talk, award-winning journalist Mohamed Fahmy will speak about maintaining professional responsibility while under the threat of, and reality of imprisonment. He will also share what he has learned from his experiences about how to improve the profession of journalism, and other critical institutions in society including business and government.

Mohamed Fahmy is Journalist in Residence at the Global Reporting Centre, and is a W. Maurice Young Fellow in Applied Ethics at UBC.
