CKNW-AM980’s the Bill Good Show interviews Core’s Dr. Peter B. Reiner on ‘smart’ drugs.
SHOULD WE ALL BE TAKING “SMART” DRUGS?
The technical terms is “nootropics” but they’re also known as “smart drugs.” Supplements that purport to boost your brain power beyond its natural sluggishness and inspire you to new heights of focus and productivity. Ritalin is a popular one for students cramming for finals, but smart drugs aren’t only for students, and the terms probably covers some substances you consume on a regular basis (caffeine, anyone?). But are they safe? Are they legal? And is it an ethical slippery slope to start engineering our own brains?
